Well I'll start things off with an easy one...

I was looking for the -s switch for lookup browse... I have some sort of mental blank when it comes to remembering this flag. Must have been the fun I had in the 60's. Anyway, I noticed while looking the W flag for lookup which lets the lookup fail rather than (w)ait for a record to be unlocked. I have never used this flag, but it seems like it might be very useful. Just out of curiosity I was wondering what version added this flag? Was it around the time the check lock stuff was added?  I just don't remember.

The "-w" flag, along with the LOCKED() test, were added way back in 4.8
