Hi,
Like I said, I'm giving MEMO's a new try. I've got a format that looks something like this:

Code:

Date     Time     Level           MEMO
*1       *2       *3              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
all in the data area of the report format.
I put 5 lines of MEMO area at 40 charactgers wide because I know there will never be more than 3 lines of MEMO content.... added two more lines just in case some record *does* havppen to have up to 5 lines.
In any case I was hoping (assuming) that the BLANK lines in the MEMO field would be "closed up" by filePro just like any other BLANK lines. I was wrong. Can there be a switch/option for this?  I mean, what if just a couple of my MEMO's have 5 lines and all the others have 1 or two lines (of content that is). Am I damned to having up to 5 lines of empty space on every record in a report??
