Topic: Looking for a LPT laser printer that is compatible with FilePro

I need help with purchasing a new (inexpensive) LPT Laser Printer that works easily with FilePro 5.0.

I searched some links here and it was suggested a PCL5 laser printer would work, but don't want to purchase it without knowing for sure if it works or not.

Kindly provide links if possible or an exact model number.

Any printer that support PCL3, PCL5 or PCL5C

CAUTION:  PCL 3 GUI is not the same as PCL3

The HP 2050 should be just fine. I don't know the price.

You want a PCL5e on a BW printer and of course PCL5c in a color printer.

BE VERY CAREFUL when studying the specs of a printer that the languages(PCL,Postscript, etc.)
are internal in the printer as opposed to "host based" which means that the language is part
of the printer driver making it effectively a windows only printer and useless with filePro.

I looked that the HP P2050 Laser.  Would any of the P2050 series work?

Would this one work as an alternative to the P2050?

Note that it says Print Languages Std "Host Based".

In other words, it doesn't have a brain. It will not do what you want.
