Hardware for fP and UNIX 5.0.5
« on: December 17, 2010, 09:03:35 AM »
After nearly 12 years of faithful, no crash service, our HP Vectra  box that runs SCO 5.0.5 UNIX is dead or dying. It is our platform for filePro 5.0 which is essential for our small business. I have come against a brick wall in tryng to find a relpacement box that will run UNIX and filePro for a small business. Merchants (and HP and SCO) lead me to very large systems or "why don't you switch to Windows and scrap filePro while youre at it."  Scrapping fp is unthinkable, and even if we had to switch to Windows in the long run, we need a UNIX box to keep the busines running in the short run. I know that UNIX isn't the world  leader in operating sytems, but I can't believe that someone doesn't make a machine that will replace Vectra's functions as a UNIX machine.  Any help or advice will be very deeply apprecaited.

If you contact sales@fptech.com and tell them where you are located, they might find a filePro and hardware integrator in your area.  What you are looking for should not be that hard to find.
