I have a new scanning software programming installed and all it will save documents as is .tiff, jpgs, or PDFs. Is FilePro GIclient able to import any of those file types? I have tried putting them into the output folder that we use to import our image files from, but the PDFs and tiffs won't show up as options to import even though they are in the correct folder location. Any tips on how to change the file types that it will import or is it even possible to use other file types other than .djvu files?

Thanks!

filePro or fileProGI by themselves will not import anything.  Anything you want done has to be programmed to do it.  You are also not clear on all the steps you are trying to do.  Import to do what with the images for example?  If the are already on the hard drive and you wish to view them from filePro then that is different.  Do you want to import or view?

We upload documents that we have scanned in into Henschen FilePro GIclient to view later as an image file. We can view it fine as .djvu files, but when trying to attach the document to FilePro GIclient, I am only able to attach .djvu file types, not PDFs or any other file type.

Attaching files to a record in filePro is a programmed function.  You mention Henschen in your last reply.  You should contact Henschen and Associates to find out how you will be able to do what you want since it appears that you are using a software application that was authored by them.

Ok thank you. I might just download a free document converter instead because Henschen tends to charge an arm and a leg just to say hello. Thanks for the prompt response again! Take care!

This whole routine was as Bill mentioned created internally by Henschen and Associates.  If you'd like a quote for making adjustments to your existing application or see what has been developed since your application please feel free to call for a free demo or quote.

I'm not sure how we are to be considered to be charging an arm and a leg compared to any other firms that do customized programming.  We don't charge the large annual fee giving by other vendors in our field and charge to the nearest 1/4 hr for any support, just as one would with a plumber or any other service provider.  Our image solution I assume you are referring to is no where near those I hear daily being bought from other vendors.  If you'd like a quote on making adjustments they are for no charge
