fpcgi has a tendancy to crash and nothing works correctly after that for fpcgi.

is there any method to restart or recover fpcgi?

fPcgi only runs when you tell it to run.  It has to be something else happening.  Check the logs.  They are located in the C:\temp by default on Windows.  Not sure on NIX but I can find out if that is your platform.  fpcgi_dbg.log
