we are printing 2 forms from input processing to two different printers ( a whole page receipt and a miniature receipt for the customer). Both are going to printers thru a samba network. 1 printer is a network printer (the big receipt) and the other is a POS receipt printer that is attached to Windows xp computer on lpt1. the problem is that if two separate receipts are printed from different terminals at the exact same time. the 2 big receipts print fine and the 2 POS receipts print one header then "Please Wait" then a second header is printed and the data from both individual sales prints together after the second header and then a totals "footer" is generated with only the total of one invoice. it is driving me crazy.

it all started approximately after the win98 terminals were replaced/upgraded to xp. all win terminals connect to filepro using tiny term into filepro.

i have deleted and added a new printer w/ new xp drivers for the printer. no go. the network is working well and no noted problems.

is this a spooler problem? filepro problem? windows / samba problem? i have spent several hours and it seems to be pointing to filepro. although nothing has been changed in filepro.

any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated

I think you will find this under the Windows Printer Properties under the Advanced Tab.  Has to do with spooling or printing direct to printer or printing after last page is received.  Not sure what will work for you but I am pretty sure it's not filePro.

i never got back on this so am posting how i fixed the problem. i made a new form with all the elements in it so it did not send separately. This included a header (logo) w/ cust name etc. , body w/ itemized purchases, totals (footer for lack of a better name) w/ Thank You jpg. i redesigned the form & totals portions w/ new or combined processing table.

maybe this will help someone else down the line.
