Users are able to bring up main filepro menu, but are unable to go to next menu selection with thier username such as "julian". The message displays "There are no filePro files in /appl/filepro/", but we can access all menues while logged in as root. We are using a Fedora5 linux system.

Not sure if I'm being to vague, but this system was handed to me with root being the only user that can access all and im not to sure how filepro works. I really need to get our users off root. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Normally this is a permissions issue.  Log in as root and then go to the /appl/fp/scripts directory.  Run the program called setperms.  If this does not solve the problem then check the permissions on the appl and fp directory and make sure they are user accessible.

Note:

after using setperms in /fp/scripts, the filpro folder under /appl was set to 700, not sure if this is default, but this only allows root to use. i had to manually change permissions to filepro folder. This installation of fp was prior to me, so not sure how things were setup.
