Matt,
I believe that the 1xxx series of HP LaserJets are "Windows Only" printers and are therefore problematic with filePro. Those printers expect your print job to be preprocessed by a windows printer driver. The fact that it only has a USB port is a minor issue.
If you are running filePro on a windows machine, you can use the "WIN:printername" syntax for the destination command, and that will enable communications wirh the printer . That would work fine if the printer had a brain.
You can have filePro generate RTF code which is sent to a windows word processor(Atlantis maybe), and printed as a normal windows print job from there. See the RTF material in the fp manual.
Alternatively, there is a commercial piece of software called "Print Wizard" that helps with this problem, and you can go to
http://www.anzio.com to look into it.
Really, the best advice I can give is for you to purchase a printer that has an internal PCL5 interpreter.
