i just installed a new Xerox 3500N laser printer. Xerox says it is fully pcl5 compatable.
it appears to work great.
the issue is after each form is printed an extra blank page is printed
We are running Linux  2.4.20-18.7smp & filepro 5.0
the print command i am using is lp -dprintername -0 nobanner -s
what should i do?
thanks

The interface script or some other agent is probably injecting a formfeed character after the job.

Only a printer reset (esc E) shoukd be sent at the end of a job. It will only eject the page if there is printable data. A FF on the other hand is unconditional, and when received, out comes the page, blank or not.

Filepro, when configured properly, sends exactly the number of lines required to eject the last page, so a FF that follows will ALWAYS present a blank sheet.
